Grasslands, Climate Change mitigation and adaptation potential

The focus will be on why grasslands offer one of the promising pathways to enhance mitigation and demonstrate practical measurement methods associated with nation action plans. Climate Smart Agriculture: an all-embracing concept

But what is the potential for synergy at the institutional level and what are trade-offs associated with these approaches. The session will examine these issues. The speakers are Mr. Sergio Zelaya, Mr. Alexandre Meybeck, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Mr. Keith Alverson, United Nations Environment Programme, Ms. Sakhile Koketso, CBD, and Ms. Koko Warner, United Nations University-EHS.
